Flipchart is an event series where visitors are presented with a snapshot of the creative process of artists and researchers within and around iii’s community. Curator Leon Lapa Pereira selects creatives who are based locally to present alongside artists from iii’s artist in the resident program. The people selected are often at different points in their careers, from students to more experienced artists. This creates opportunities for visitors and presenters to be part of an exchange. Flipchart wants to challenge the medium of presentation, always searching for alternative and experimental methods.

Leon Lapa Pereira (he/him), is a cross-disciplinary performance researcher who creates experienceable ecologies bridging humans and more-than-humans. Besides his performance work, he co-founded WASTELAND Festival, curates the Performance Technology Lab, initiated the interdisciplinary Resonant Bodies residency in Georgia, teaches at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague, and is the Creative Producer of the Embassy of the North Sea.
