A Crossover between experimental performance and dance music that focuses on movement and rhythm from a Bipoc futuristic perspective.

It’s an event that seeks out rhythms for dance, to evoke trance inducing ritualistic music inspired by our mother/fatherlands. To reach an altered state the body has to be possessed by rhythmical structures created from within the artists live performances.

Camgurl

Sometimes naughty, sometimes nice, this Camgurl specialises in aural pleasure. Camille finds inspiration by blending a taste of hot sounds developed while living abroad with classics heard while growing up in her hometown, Chicago. Her DJ sets range from bootytech to trance to her favourite filthy breaks, acid, or bass. She also experiments with the sensuousness in music through her productions of a dark and trippy nature, flowing from a passion for deep frequencies and sounds that create the sensation of frisson. She is 1/5 of the Rotterdam DJ Collective, AMPFEMININE, and a founding member of Reactor (based in Bali).

Vox supreme

Vox supreme is a moniker of artist Lounes Doulache. A notorious figure in the scene by way of DJing and hosting events at clubs and festivals across borders, as well as holding residencies at Echobox Radio, Kiosk Radio, and the now defunct Strange Sounds From Beyond festival, running his label traumgarten and founding the Onderwereld collective. Performing under his alias Vox supreme, he is never quite satisfied with simply churning out dance floor fillers, preferring to blur the boundaries between genres and toy with the expectations of the audience.

KOIRI

Koiri is a traveller from an unknown time period and place who creates rhythms that are Winti-inspired. To reach an altered state, the body has to move as if possessed by rhythmic structures.

DIMA

An array of sound sources ranging from abstract to experimental dance music, often with a sentiment of fiction, melancholy and euphoria for something that may have happened.

Rachwill Breidel – organiser

Rachwill Breidel is an Amsterdam born sound and performance artist. His interests lie in creating interactive audio systems and performative sound compositions with a focus on rhythm and its embodiment. With a background in design and electronic music production, he has released on physcial formats as 5713 and Koiri on Eye For An Eye, Onderwereld, Traumgarten, ÆX and Chem Club. Currently studying ArtScience at KABK/KONCON his work is inspired by his surroundings such as Winti (surinamese belief system) and thus created Winti Futurism as a counterpart to Afrofuturism that focuses on bringing people into an altered state and in social interaction/behaviour to create rhythmical structures and composition.

Jeroen Alexander Meijer

Jeroen Alexander Meijer is an interdisciplinary light and sound artist who navigates psychology, philosophy and cognitive science to create interactive experiences that help us become aware of the mysterious properties of our attention. His fascination with attention begins with his attention deficit disorder facing the hyper-distracting world of today. By practicing Vipasssana meditation he regained awareness over the subtle power of his mind, which made the objective of his work to help audiences all over the world get into similar meditative states and bend their attention back on on attention itself. He achieves this by composing immersive multi-sensory installations that focus deeply on our perceptions, with the goal of creating a profound sense of how our inner realms intimately influence our outer worlds. Jeroen Alexander Meijer was the winner of the iii Residency Award for 2022.
