In L’AMOUR/LA MORT, the secrets of love, life and suffering are made tangible; the labyrinthine constellation of special characters, poignant love stories, music and paintings brought to life make this film a hallucinatory journey. With Dirk de Wachter, Erando González, Ivo van der Bilt, Michel Guillot, Mohamed el Bachiri and others. iii member Wen Chin Fu arranged the music for the film.

This film concludes the trilogy, preceded by the titles Over Canto and Erbarme dich – Matthäus Passion Stories. With miraculous testimonies of special characters and icons from music history, the three films tap into a deeper and irrational layer in our consciousness.

L’AMOUR/LA MORT is a production by DOXY Films in co-production with KRO-NCRV, partly realized with support from CoBO, the NPO fund, the Netherlands Production Incentive and the Netherlands Film Fund. The film will be released by distributor Cinemien.
