Ben je benieuwd naar wat kunstenaars doen? Zou je wel eens willen weten wat er achter de schermen gebeurt om kunst te maken? Tijdens de Proximity Music: Visceral Acts-tentoonstelling van iii geven Braziliaanse geluidskuntenaars Vivian Caccuri en Thiago Lanis een workshop op basis van hun performance “Mouth Ghost”. Deze workshop is geschikt voor kinderen 4 tot 12 jaar en hun ouders.

“Mouth Ghost” is een performance waarin de kunstenaars de geluiden van een regenwoud nabootsen met hun eigen stemmen. Insecten, water, vogels, wind, allerlei zoogdieren en bladeren komen allemaal voorbij in hun live-performance.

Tijdens de workshop zijn kinderen en hun ouders uitgenodigd om deze tropische dierengeluiden te leren nadoen en om met die geluiden samen een muziekcompositie te maken.

Are you curious about what artists do? Do you sometimes wonder what happens behind the scenes of how an artwork is made? During the iii exhibition Proximity Music: Visceral Acts, artists Vivian Caccuri and Thiago Lanis will be giving a workshop based on their work “Mouth Ghost” for kids ages 4+ and their parents. 

“Mouth Ghost” is a performance where Vivian Caccuri and Thiago Lanis recreate the soundscape of a tropical forest, sound to sound, using their own voices.
Insects, water, birds, wind, mammals and leaves are incorporated by the artists one by one in a live performance.

In the workshop, kids and their parents are invited to learn some of the tropical animals’ sounds and record them as a group composition.
