iii is seeking a Visual Communication Officer interested in social media content creation and on-the-fly communication, starting in September 2024. The Visual Communication Officer will work closely with iii’s Communication Team and the wider iii community. They will be responsible for creating content for offline and online audiences, promoting and documenting iii events (both at the workspace and elsewhere), engaging with iii artists in residence and coordinating with social media partners.

Essential for the role

  • – Living in The Hague 
  • – Good AV skills 
  • – Basic Graphic Design knowledge 
  • – An interest or background in multimedia, marketing and communication 
  • – Flexibility 
  • – Available on Tuesdays

 

Tasks:

  • – On-the-ground and on-the-fly content about iii’s activities for social media
  • – Activity on Instagram, FB, LinkedIn & other potential social channels (liking, sharing, commenting, coordinating with partner channels) 
  • – Creating content with a focus on reels 
  • – Implementing poster & flyer information using InDesign (or equivalent) 
  • – Ordering & coordination of distribution of printed materials
  • – Writing short texts, correcting, editing, briefing
  • – Excursions to iii events outside of the iii workspace 
  • – Production of iii radio series

Skills:

  • – Inception and creation of reels for social media
  • – Intuition, creativity and initiative
  • – Excellent in person, phone and email communication
  • – Good time management
  • – Ability to coordinate within a team
  • – Capable of establishing and maintaining relationships with artists and curators
  • – Can work with Adobe, specifically Photoshop and InDesign (or equivalent)

The job is rated for 0,2 fte (on average 7,2 hours/week). We will discuss the rate based on your previous experience.
