iii founding member Matteo Marangoni will be giving a talk on Saturday 30th May. The second day of the lecture and panel programme is dedicated to artistic-research that relates to urgent ecological, technological and socio-political themes. Speakers will show their work as well as engage in discussions on theory and practice. Make the frequencies of your brain vibrate faster, and learn about topics such as AI, human/non-human relationships and different perspectives on (re)wilding.

Navid Navab presented their instrument Organism alongside performative installation Excitable Chaos as part of the 2025 edition of Proximity Music. As part of FIBER Festival Navid Navab improvises with Organism: a robotically prepared century-old pipe organ. The experimental instrument destabilizes the socio-historical tonality of the organ to liberate and sound its hidden turbulent materiality, robotically unleashing timbres unheard after centuries of sonic restraint.

iii member Jonathan Reus presents iMac Music as part of Sound Art Sunday. 12 years after performing iMac Music at the Brakke Grond for Fiber’s Coded Matter(s), Jonathan Reus returns to the Rode Zaal to celebrate Fiber’s 10 year anniversary with a new version of this now iconic performance. More than a decade later, the performance has only increased in relevance: less and less are we able to access and alter the seamless functioning digital machines and systems that fully mediate our lives (and eat our planet), and increasingly we are seeking ways out of technological webs that often offer hype and distraction in the place of hope and love
