We are opening the iii project space for anyone who would like to work creatively with technology. It’s free, come with your ideas, questions, or projects involving electronics, sensors, bio-hacking, machine-building, AI, or anything related.
Some micro-controllers and sensors will be available for you to try out (teensyduinos, biosensors). Feel free to bring your own as well.
You can use this time to work on your project alongside others. If you’re stuck on anything or don’t know where to start with using technology creatively, come by! Have a drink, check out other projects people are working on, get advice from others, or chat with the workshop facilitators Christy Westhovens and Nathan Marcus. Let’s brainstorm and problem-solve together!
Facilitators for this edition: Nathan Marcus, a creative technologist, programmer, sound artist, and 3D generalist. Christy Westhovens is an artist working in the field of hacking projects and collective machine building practices. They both supported many other artists with tech for performance, audio-visual works and other designs.
Coffee and Tech workshop series was developed in collaboration with Andrzej Konieczny, Christy Westhovens and Myra-Ida van der Veen. The workshop series will occasionally feature sessions facilitated by various artists working with technology.
