Can you see sounds or hear images?

The Graphite Synthesizer is a simple electronic instrument that can translate your drawings into sound. What does a short line sound like in comparison to a long line? What about circles or square patterns? And how do all these drawings sound like together? At the end of the workshop we will improvise together with all the instruments.

Graphite Synthesizer workshop will present a special edition during WEAVE festival in de Hallen, Amsterdam. During the workshop, kids will learn how to play the synthesizer with their own drawing and they will bring their own drawing home afterwards.

This is a fun electronics project suitable for children between 9 and 12. No prior knowledge of electronics nor solder-skills are required for this workshop.
