Struer Tracks is a five-day biennial for sound and listening in the public space of Struer, Denmark. This fourth edition, titled Currents, will be staged across various locations, presenting in/outdoor sound installations, performances, radio, workshops and lectures. Resonating the essentially ephemeral qualities of sound, the 2023 programme reflects on a world that is constantly changing.
Matteo Marangoni works in the intersection of DIY electronics, robotics and storytelling. Dieter Vandoren comes from a diverse background in music, IT and experimental architecture. For the past ten years, the two artists have collaborated on a series of spatial and audio-visual projects exploring artificial life and the collective behaviour of self-organised systems. At Struer Tracks, Matteo & Dieter will present Komorebi, a swarm of artificial creatures that make music in response to the sun, the clouds and the shadows of trees moving in the wind.
Struer Tracks 2023 is created in collaboration with Regelbau 411, SMK Thy, Struer Museum, Struer Library, Struer Church, The Lake Radio, SPOR Festival, IMPULS Festival and Nordic Podcast Conference.
This year’s programme has been curated by Matilde Best and Jacob Eriksen.
