Generative AI is increasingly being used in online videos to alter the original content and challenge existing narratives. Examples include videos like world leaders acting in problematic situations, Will Smith endlessly eating spaghetti, or reimagining the Harry Potter crew in Berlin.
How do you imagine you would behave, feel, or communicate if you became someone or something else? Can we explore that imagination using generative AI?
In this two-day workshop, participants will playfully use their bodies to place themselves in new situations as a different being. They will simulate becoming another being of their choice and learn how to transform themselves using a generative AI model, Stable Diffusion.
What participants should bring: | Participants will: |
A laptop (Mac, Windows, Linux, all fine) | Gain an understanding of the overall concept of generative AI through critical learning and creative exercises |
A laptop charger | Be introduced to recent tools, possibilities, and limitations of working with generative AI |
A Google ID with 3GB space in Google Drive | Learn to experiment with the code of the open-source model, Stable Diffusion |
A camera device (a mobile phone with a camera is perfect) | Transform their own input images or videos into new forms using Stable Diffusion |
Have fun! |
This workshop is suitable for beginners or those with no experience in creative coding. Anyone interested in experimenting with generative AI is welcome to join.
