Jeroen Alexander Meijer is an interdisciplinary light and sound artist who delves into scientific and spiritual realms. His exploration centers on the fascinating connection between awareness practices and the digital world, particularly focusing on the “autonomy of attention” within our society’s mental landscape.

Jeroen’s personal journey began with his own attention deficit disorder, facing the challenges of today’s hyperdistracting world. Through practicing Vipassana meditation, he rediscovered the subtle and powerful aspects of the mind. This experience inspired his mission to help audiences enter similar meditative states and turn their attention inward.

With immersive multi-sensory installations, Jeroen’s work invites you to perceive your own perception, revealing how our inner landscapes intricately shape our outer worlds.

Jeroen Alexander Meijer was the winner of the iii Residency Award for 2022, for the ambition expressed by and for the potential for future development that we see in the immersive audiovisual installation Ouroboros
