If/Then proposes a fluid interpretation of algorithmic software architecture speculating on the wave and particle duality, one of the fundamentals of quantum mechanics that states that at a fundamental level reality consists of two essences instead of one (1) or the other (0), as in our current digital binary system. The installation invites the viewer to observe the mixed substance as a particle or wave. A self-directing dialogue between two water tanks is created using hydrogen bubbles, waves in water, light and a generative sequencer with rain and individual water droplets.
