Instrument Building Workshop

Duration: approx. 3 hours (can be adapted for 1 to 3 days)

This workshop starts with a basic introduction to sound and acoustics. Students are then guided through the process of making their very own electric monochord, a guitar with one string. DIY amplifiers with contact microphones can either be pre-made or the students can be guided through soldering their own amplifiers and microphones.

Students can then experiment with their instrument and perform with them.
