The workspace provides 600 m2 of production facilities for artists. The workspace is located at Willem Dreespark 312, next to Moerwijk train station, within the cultural incubator WD4X founded by a partnership of three artist initiatives, Daisy Chain, SW2 and iii, in collaboration with Stroom Den Haag and the Municipality of The Hague.
iii workspace is a high quality production facility servicing a community of artists based in The Hague who work in the field of Art and Technology.
By bringing these artists under one roof and providing a permanent and high quality facility at an affordable price, the goal of iii is to supply the community with shared resources that can help artists at different career stages grow further in their practices in a stable, safe and inspiring environment.
Workspace members are either artists with a full time professional practice and working at an international level, or recent graduates from an art academy or music conservatory that have distinguished themselves during their studies and who are determined to pursue an artistic career.
In addition to members, the workspace is also used by guest residents taking place in iii’s residency program, and it can be made available to occasional users for specific projects.
The workspace is managed collectively by members, following a culture of sharing and of facilitating others.
Members are required to make a commitment to the space of minimum one year and to contribute time to the management of the space, in addition to a monthly membership payment.
