Blueprint Series published by iii editions

The Blueprint Series presents detailed documentation of works by iii artists. Each booklet is an instruction manual with which you can recreate and discover a different performative sound art work or interactive sound installation. Focusing on the underlying ideas of the work, the Blueprint manuals are useful not only for artists, but also for educators, researchers or for anyone interested in learning more about these works.

Similar to a musical score, The Blueprint Series intends to preserve performative and staged works of sound art, as the works themselves are in danger of disappearing with the creator. This gives the pieces a firm anchor point in history and opens them up to be studied and reenacted, setting the ideas free to be further developed by a broader community of artists, researchers, curators, conservators and teachers now and in the future.
