From Paradigm to Paradigm, into the Biomic Time

In From Paradigm to Paradigm, into the Biomic Time untrue statements from news headlines are transformed by an algorithmic Haiku generator into a glitching musical score.

The work comments on the constant regurgitation of misinformed and manipulative facts in relation to varied environmental issues by powerful individuals, politicians, and organisations as they influence public opinion to protect their own interests. The 91 Haikus generated based on the untrue statements form a glitching musical code which is used as a score for pianola. The accompanying digital publication allows the viewer to connect each of the poems to its original statement.
